Dr. Charlotte Yiu

DACM, NCCAOM Dipl. Ac., L.Ac.

New Doctor. Ancient Medicine.

Prior to completing her Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM) in 2022, Dr. Yiu received her Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM) – a four-year, full-time degree with a dual focus on acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine – from Pacific College of Health and Science in New York City. In addition to being a licensed acupuncturist (L.Ac.) in Delaware and her home state of New Jersey, she is board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) in Acupuncture; this certification is marked by the title of Diplomate of Acupuncture (Dipl. Ac.).

When the country entered lockdown in March 2020, Dr. Yiu opted to front-end her academics and delay continuing her clinic rotations until in-person appointments were allowed to resume so that she could gain as much hands-on experience as possible. In total, Dr. Yiu devoted over 1,000 hours in the clinic applying her knowledge and honing her skills during her time at Pacific College.

With a decade of experience in healthcare and working with patients of all backgrounds, Dr. Yiu has developed a special interest in helping patients with what may be deemed “difficult diagnoses” achieve their health goals. She has experience working with all types of patients and conditions including chronic/acute pain, digestive issues, headaches and migraines, seasonal allergies, and stress management. She also has experience with more complex conditions such as hormonal imbalances and infertility as well as autoimmune conditions like rheumatoid arthritis and inflammatory bowel disease.

Dr. Yiu believes in combining modern medicine and testing with the techniques of Traditional Chinese Medicine to create a holistic treatment plan to bring relief to all of her patients.
